Natural heartburn medicine options

What are my options for treating acid reflux with natural heartburn medicine?

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or better known as heartburn is common in most Americans, considering our diet and lifestyle. We all have busy lives so eating clean and healthy isn’t always an option. We are often in a rush, and don’t have time to take a break in the day, so we over-caffeinate ourselves with coffee, energy drinks or with coca-cola. Eventually we all hit a wall, and we begin to feel abdominal discomfort, indigestion, bloating, and overall uneasiness. We might not be able to pinpoint it right away, but we soon figure out that we’re having symptoms of GERD or heart burn.

So where do we go from here? Most people let the symptoms persist and try to power through. Others want to address it, but just don’t have the time. It can be difficult to set aside time for our own health, but it’s crucial we press the pause button and address it. Otherwise, longstanding heartburn or GERD can result in gastritis, esophagitis, or peptic ulcer disease. Once it gets to this point, you begin to have pain with eating or drinking. You might even wake up with pain, after a night of lying flat, the stomach acid contents reflux back into the esophagus.

The first step towards addressing acid reflux is lifestyle modifications. By cutting down on alcohol, caffeine, and soda intake, we can help with ingestion. To take it a step further, we can start to eat smaller portion meals, and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Alkaline water would be ideal. Making these changes, will eventually lead to weight-loss which can in turn further help with symptoms of acid reflux. Once you have made the appropriate lifestyle changes, you can take the next step of adding anti-reflux therapy to your healthy regimen.

Natural Relief for Acid Reflux

Prior to GerdLi, there wasn’t a natural remedy or a natural alternative in the form of natural supplements for acid reflux. We are often told to take H2 blockers (Zantac or Pepcid) or proton pump inhibitors (Omeprazole, Pantoprazole). D-limonene has been found to be an extremely effective, and safe natural anti-reflux therapy. Most people who have started GerdLi notice symptom improvement with a few weeks and can take it daily without known side effects.

Anti-reflux therapy shouldn’t be scary or daunting. You shouldn’t have to worry about side effects, or long-term complications with medications. Anti-reflux therapy should be as straightforward as changing your lifestyle habits and adding a dietary supplement like GerdLi.
